Public Notice for a Non-Acute MCL Coliform Violation

To comply with the requirements for notifying your public water system’s customers of a nonacute violation of the maximum contaminant level for coliform:

  1. Complete the template in the PDF file below.
  2. After you have filled in all the blanks, print the template out.
  3. Following the instructions for your type of PWS, deliver this notice to your customers:
  4. Now that you have notified your customers, complete form TCEQ-20208, “Certificate of Delivery of Public Notice to Customers,” and submit the certificate and a copy of your notice to us.
  5. Check the instructions for your type of PWS (community or non-community) for requirements for issuing subsequent notices.
