Effective September 1, 2003, the 78th Texas Legislature
authorized the collection of a $75 fee for expediting a groundwater
protection recommendation letter.
An expedited Surface Casing letter will be processed within four
business days from the date an application is determined to be
complete by the TCEQ Surface Casing team. To request expedited
processing, submit the following documents:
- a completed Form
TCEQ-0051P,(
Instructions for Form TCEQ-0051P)
- a scaled map showing the well location and surrounding survey
lines;
- a copy of the electric log, if you are plugging or re-entering
an existing well; and
- appropriate payment
Expedited processing is not available for saltwater
disposal or seismic letters.
