If you accept medical waste for disposal, you must obtain a
permit. You may also be required to complete a manifest.
Medical waste may be disposed of in a municipal solid waste Type
I landfill provided certain
conditions and requirements 
are
met. For a summary of these regulations, see Texas
Regulations on Medical Waste (RG-001, revised August
2007).
Depending upon the type of medical waste, rules for special waste may also apply.
