Fees

The TCEQ collects more than 140 fees and other receipts, most with very specific statutory uses. Collections totaled more than $342 million in license, fee, and permit revenue in fiscal year 2003. Waste fees accounted for 52.1 percent, air fees for 37.7 percent, water fees for 9.7 percent, and other fees and receipts for the remaining collections.
