About the Chemicals Under Consideration for Effects Screening Levels Development

New Information TCEQ Toxicology Request for Technical Data

How to Submit Technical Data

The Toxicology Section plans to publish a list of chemicals under consideration for ESL development at this Web site at least once a year and encourages interested parties—industry trade associations, individual companies, environmental groups, academia, etc.—to submit relevant technical data. Information will be posted on the Web site and registrants on the Announcement List will be notified by e-mail. Several months before the deadline, the list of chemicals will be provided to interested parties so they will have adequate time to prepare data.

How Chemicals are Selected

Chemicals are selected for one or more of the following reasons:

  • they have been detected in air monitoring
  • permits are frequently issued for them
  • the public has expressed concerns about them

Procedure for Data Submission

The Toxicology Section is accepting toxicity information for consideration in the development of ESLs for the chemicals listed in the following table. We will accept information for these chemicals until July 23, 2008. Interested parties may contact the chemical project manager listed for more details.
