In accordance with Texas Health and Safety Code
386.057
and
386.116(d)
, the TCEQ is required to publish and submit
to the Legislature a biennial report on the status of implementing
the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan.
There are several government agencies responsible for developing
and implementing the current TERP programs. In addition to TCEQ,
these agencies include the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts,
the State Energy Conservation Office, the Public Utility Commission
of Texas, and local governments. The Energy Systems Laboratory at
Texas A&M University assists in energy efficiency and renewable
energy research, along with emissions reduction calculations.
