Coordinated Monitoring of Surface Water

Coordinated monitoring makes collecting and analyzing data on surface water more efficient for the Surface Water Quality Monitoring Program and its participants—the Clean Rivers Program, other state and federal agencies, municipalities, and others. The coordinated monitoring schedule is usually planned and developed from January through May of the preceding fiscal year. The TCEQ supports coordinated monitoring with guidance for site selection and for sampling requirements for routine monitoring, special study, and targeted monitoring.
