The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) today approved
penalties totaling $468,012 against 75 regulated entities for
violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement
categories: Three agricultural, 18 air quality, six dry cleaner,
two Edwards Aquifer, six industrial waste discharge, two
multi-media, three municipal solid waste, 10 municipal waste
discharge, nine petroleum storage tank, five public water system,
and five water quality. In addition, there were default orders
issued for the following categories: One agriculture, one dry
cleaner, and one on site sewage facility authorization.
Penalties were also assessed against three regulated entities
following hearings at the State Office of Administrative Hearings
for petroleum storage tank and on-site sewage facility
violations.
The TCEQ's next agenda meeting is scheduled for February 8.
