Small Business Advisory Committees (SBACs) provide
small businesses in Texas with a voice in the regulatory process
and help promote environmental quality.
The TCEQ
coordinates quarterly meetings where SBAC members
comment on existing and proposed environmental rules, policies, and
programs and their effects on small businesses. SBACs also serve as
forums to educate community businesses on environmental rules and
how to comply with them.
Members are volunteers and membership is open to all interested
persons such as:
- small business owners,
- environmental consultants,
- representatives of trade associations, and
- representatives of governmental organizations.
Information from meetings is passed on to members of the state's
small business Compliance
Advisory Panel to ensure that the needs of all Texas businesses
are heard.
