In February 2002, the TCEQ signed a Memorandum of Agreement with
the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) to align their performance-based programs.
Now, sites approved at the Platinum level in TCEQ’s
Clean Texas program are
automatically accepted into the EPA’s
National Environmental
Performance Track 
program, which works closely with states as
they develop and implement performance-based programs.
