Site Assistance Visit Plus (SAV+) Program

Through the Site Assistance Visit Plus (SAV+) Program, facility owners or operators can get help generating innovative strategies; identifying performance issues; and getting site-specific, pollution prevention tips on air, water, and waste issues.

Benefits to Your Facility

Participating in the SAV+ Program can help your business save money, reduce waste, and conserve resources. The TCEQ's SAV+ Team of engineers and scientists comes to your site and shares the knowledge it gained from visits to all kinds of facilities over the past decade. So far, Texas businesses have:

  • saved more than $200 million dollars,
  • reduced 150,000 tons of hazardous waste,
  • reduced 450,000 tons of non-hazardous waste,
  • conserved 2.6 billion gallons of water, and
  • conserved 500 megawatt-hours of energy.

Information shared during site assistance visits is confidential. Team members do not share their findings with enforcement personnel at any state or federal agency including the TCEQ unless they observe an imminent threat to human health or the environment. The process also takes into account the need for your business to protect proprietary or confidential process information.
